New Gallery in Locations: Hanoi, Vietnam

A new gallery has been added to Locations – Hanoi, Vietnam, containing images from our travels around the capital of Vietnam in October 2018.

Hanoi is a vibrant, exciting city that oozes character and life in the Old Quarter – if you can survive the mopeds in its narrow streets and alleyways. A short walk takes you either out the more spacious French Quarter with its fine colonial-era buildings, the peaceful Temple of Literature, iconic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum,  or out to West Lake with it water views out to the sprawling modern suburbs of this dynamic, expanding city as well as heritage sights including Tran Quoc Pagoda. And while you are there, don’t forget to take in Train Street, possible the most unusual tourist attraction in the world where people gather a couple of times a day to experience sharing a narrow street with mainline trains, and where enterprising locals have learned to take advantage of these visitors by offering coffee and beers while they wait…
